I liked everything. I loved the little house we stayed in. I loved the orchids and the detail given to the garden. I loved the owner who was bright, helpful, intelligent, and humorous. I loved the hammocks and the outdoor seating. The breakfast was lovely. The place has a soul.

Cecelia, her staff and her children Irene and Roberto went above and beyond on my stay. I felt cared for like an intimate family member. Classical music playing in the morning and her staff providing food to the birds and squirrels each morning from the breakfast view made me feel like I was in a storybook.

Everything about our 3 night stay at Casa 41 was delightful. The communication before our stay was proactive. The design aesthetic of the small, 5 room inn in the Escazu neighborhood just west of San Jose was exceptional with incredible attention to detail. Our room was large, with a comfortable king-size bed, sitting area, and big bathroom. The dinners and breakfasts at the inn were varied and delicious. And the staff was very accommodating and gracious. We look forward to a return visit.

We loved everything about this wonderful home and property. Laurie greeted us on one of her doorstep and invited us to enjoy a glass of wine on her spacious covered outdoor veranda where we could see iguana in the nearby trees. Her staff were wonderful and attentive when we had any needs. Truly a unique property and experience.
