I wasn't sure what to expect from previous reviews. The hotel was easy to navigate, go in hotel door and take elevator to floor six. It's clearly marked and easy to read even if you don't speak the language. We stayed in a kitchenette room. Wow. It was very spacious and comfortable. The hotel was quiet, amenities were great. We shopped for food downstairs at the supermarket and brought it up. It worked out perfect for us as we are travelling on a limited budget. I would absolutely stay here again and/or recommend others too.

The room had a great view just to the side of the river and they have everything you need while traveling with 2 young children! Our kids loved the toys they had set up for them. The architecture attracted me to make the reservation and it lived up to expectations. FYI, i dont know Basel very well and have not stayed overnight before. It is a good location and easy to get to the concert hall etc. The courtyard is extra special and will be a key reason to return if/when th opportunity arises in the future.
