We stayed at the Three Horseshoes over New Year. It is in a perfect location away from the crowds of Burford, set in beautiful countryside. The pub and rooms had just been refurbished. The rooms were really cozy and the food was excellent. We visited lots of pubs in the area and this was definitely the best. The owner and her stuff were wonderful, welcoming and helpful, we would definitely love to come back.

Guests can enjoy home-cooked breakfasts made with locally-sourced ingredients, and a refined evening menu. Food is served in the pub bar, the beautiful riverside conservatory, and on the outdoor terrace looking across the gardens.

The location for a Cotswolds visit was perfect and quaint. The staff bent over backwards to make our stay absolutely lovely. They freshened the room everyday whether we needed it done or not. Bathroom was very modern. The food was amazing, made to order, and served in the restaurant or take away to your room. Dinner starts at 6, but as we were starving and jetlagged, they served us early! We were the only ones in the restaurant! We would stay there again in a heartbeat!!

The rooms were beautiful with very comfy beds, but the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff were the standout highlight for our family. We were travelling with two young children and they were very accommodating.

This is a superb hotel, the attention to detail is magnificent. For example, the towels are top quality, furniture and room design is lovely and matches the country feel. The hostess is skilled and charming and serves an excellent breakfast. Big car park and good location at the top of the high street.

The room was ok, a little tatty, but perfectly comfortable. Location was excellent, near the High St and the free car park, church, shops, etc. The bed was fine, as was the bathroom. The heating was ok as were the pillows, mattress, towels, etc. The breakfast was fine. We were the only guests and it was a little basic, but perfectly adequate, quite reasonable quality and the single staff member who was up and about at 8.30 was efficient and cheerful.

Breakfast was exceptional. Really good quality food. The room was clean and comfortable and not too noisy. Location was great and parking was close by on the high street or back streets. 5 car spaces at the back of the hotel but to be honest it would be better to find somewhere close by.

Stayed in the 500yo building - well carpeted, room very comfortable and tastefully decorated with double glazing to quieten the traffic noise. Lounge and bar area welcoming and stylishly fitted out, with many delightful paintings of birds . some done by the resident chef. Conservatory, where you have breakfast, light and warm with more modern furnishings.

The location was perfect, nicely situated in the cotsworlds, without being a tourist stop. The hotel looks amazing, we enjoyed sitting outside by the river with our drinks and in the evening, whilst also enjoying a wonderful meal in the restaurant and a last drink in the bar. The building is old but feels newly renovated, old beams and brick work mix well with the more modern bathroom. Staff were amazing and very friendly
