A very neat and tidy place. Maintained very well. A lot of effort has gone into making the place, the way it is. Mr Lal runs the place. He is very pleasant and helpful.

Room was Okey with all necessary facilities. The room had a balcony with a sea view which was enjoyable. The room was provided with neat linen, sufficient quantity of tea/coffee ingredients. The toilet/bath was comfortable with sufficient quantity of toiletries The Room had very good lighting. The food served was good. The front office staff Mr.Abhay was excellent. He was ready to help us out of the way. He is an asset to the hotel. Other hospitality staff were also good and co-operative. The parking facility was also good. Overall the stay was good, safe and comfortable

The Gateway Varkala was a very nice place to stay. Everything in the hotel, from the staff, service, and location was top notch. The grounds are large and kept impeccable with a nice swimming pool. The breakfast was very varied and enjoyable, and the staff at breakfast were very accommodating with any requests. My wife scheduled a massage in the spa, and she said it was amazing. Thank you Gateway Varkala!

Had such a great stay at Paddlecult. All the staff were so friendly - the ladies who were cooking breakfast were so warm we felt like we were at home with them. They served delicious and filling Indian breakfasts that really hit the spot after surfing. The surf lessons were so much fun and we ended up attending three days in a row. Rooms were fairly basic but considering you spend all your time surfing and relaxing in the pool it's not an issue at all. Definitely stay here if you're looking for a chill place in Varkala.

Clean and spacious rooms with all the necessary amenities. The property itself is well-designed and very close to Black beach, just a couple of minutes by walk. Breakfast is also quite good. We had lunch at the restaurant and ordered the dishes in advance. Their al-a-carte offering works out cheaper when compared to the restaurants at Varkala cliff, although not all items on the menu were available. Portion sizes are good, and the food tastes great. Ample parking space is available for private vehicles. There is a swimming pool adjacent to the restaurant. Although the filter wasn't running all the time, the staff clean the pool daily. Only con was there wasn't much of a view from the rooms, as construction was going on adjacent to the property. The closeness to the beach makes up for it.

I stayed in the hotel for one night with my family.Hotel was clean and easy accessible. Staffs were helping but rushing with festive programs. Food was delicious and lake view was panoramic.kids enjoyed the swimming pool . It’s a good option to train the staffs to manage the busy situation .

Very friendly helpful staff with recommendations, they even helped a bunch of us foreigners to wrap sarees properly. Breakfast was a choice between English style omelette or Indian breakfast either in your room or the cafe, both were great.

FRONTOFFICE STAFF WAS EXCEPTIONAL AND WELCOMING ESPECIALLY MS. LEBA.STAYED AT VILLA 407 AND THE VIEW FROM THE VILLA WAS MINDBLOWING. FOOD WAS GREAT AND THE 3 RESTAURANTS STAFF WAS HELPFUL AND I APPREATIATE THEIR WELCOMING APPROACH TO ALL GUESTS .
