4-Star Hotels in Grand-Baie

I think I booked all my Mauritius stays with my eyes closed because I was surprised about the whole apartment I walked into. This is a fantastic facility with every amenity and then some. My apartment was spacious with a fridge, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, cutlery, pots, pans etc etc. I did not use the pool, it looks nice. I used the gym for a quick run and it was a standard hotel gym. They greet you with the best cocktail I've had in my life (non-alcoholic). Some lemongrass, star anise, sugarcane concoction. I also got a complimentary sleeve of H Raults famous cassava cookies, and a box of Labourdonnais fruit pastes. I did eat breakfast here because they had litchi jam (also from Domaine Labourdonnais, I bought 4 jars), and these salty crepes with cilantro chutney which are a typical Mauritian brekkers. I ate a lot. Oh and passionfruit juice! The facilities are a beautiful oasis on the edge of a rather busy city (think suburbs-ish), meaning cars or taxis are needed, except for 2 nearby malls both with grocery stores. The hotel offers excursions to nearby attractions. The shuttle and guide (if applicable to the activity) are complimentary- if there's an entrance fee you need to pay that and of course you can always tip the shuttle/guide if you wish. The front desk can give you a calendar with all the fun stuff listed. There are elevators/ramps, plenty of parking on site and attractions within a short(ish) drive, Pamplemousses, Aventure du Sucre, Domaine de Labourdonnais etc. I recommend all of them, and to really take some time at the last 2 to read the display/watch videos. It's fascinating. I've come to believe that elegance, friendliness and helpfulness seem to be characteristics of every Mauritian, and I'm falling in love with this country. Same as with my other hotels all staff at this location were a pleasure.

The resort was absolutely stunning and the Mauritian people even more so! Great location, rooms, amenities, food, drinks and staff! We cannot wait to go back!

The room is very quiet ,clean and relaxing.The cleaner Poonam is very polite and very helpful.And Ram also is very helpful and the staff are very welcoming all the time.I felt really like I am at home.I thank you all for making my stay so pleasant

Best place in Mauritius to stay in! Trou Aux Biches/Grand Baie is an awesome location and a stay in Sakoa Boutik is the cherry on top. Such a tasteful and beautiful property - it simply blends in while providing all kinds of luxuries. The rooms are huge and have all the amenities that you could ask for, with a big verandah to chill out in the evenings. The direct access to the beach and the facilities provided on the beach by the hotel is so convenient that it kind of spoils you because you start expecting this kind of treatment everywhere (and quickly realize it's only the expensive lux resorts that do this). And a big bonus - some of the water activities are already included when you stay with them. Simply let them know what you would like to do and when.

The 3rd floor staff’s courtesy politeness and excellent service were like the cherry on top. We LOVED it!!!

The food was exceptional with plenty to choose from. The staff were friendly and very helpful. During a cyclone they delivered our meals to the room, all in recycled containers.
