The rooms are comfortable and surrounded by nature. It creates a great experience and you have the river sound. If you are not used to that sound it is really relaxing. The hotel has a green house where you can buy and see plants. They are lovely. The trails are very nice. Be mindful that to reach the entrance you need to walk 1.5 Km. La Quebrada is a trail that you can walk with small children. No wheel chair nor prawn/stroller. Los Pioneros is a short and flat trail. Suitable for elderly persons. We traveled with one and was the perfect walk. The food was delicious. The breakfast is a buffet with plenty of options and very tasty.

Everything about our 3 night stay at Casa 41 was delightful. The communication before our stay was proactive. The design aesthetic of the small, 5 room inn in the Escazu neighborhood just west of San Jose was exceptional with incredible attention to detail. Our room was large, with a comfortable king-size bed, sitting area, and big bathroom. The dinners and breakfasts at the inn were varied and delicious. And the staff was very accommodating and gracious. We look forward to a return visit.
