Moffat Independent Hostel is a friendly, family run, luxury hostel that has been set up with the outdoor enthusiast in mind. Victorian Building that balanced a modern room/ bathroom with authentic shared spaces and a full shared Kitchen. Super friendly host who was really helpful, we will be back.

Situated in Stranraer, in a historic building, 700 metres from Stranraer Beach, Thornbank House is a guest house with a fitness centre and indoor pool. The host was incredibly gracious and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The breakfast was delectable, and the service was exceptional.

Featuring free WiFi, Cruachan House offers accommodation in New Galloway, 25 miles from Dumfries. Free private parking is available on site. Each room is equipped with a TV. Everything was just perfect. Hazel gave us a warm welcome and showed us all we needed to know. The room was big and so cozy, and the view over the garden was lovely. Our bathroom was big as well and fitted every need you might have. Every morning was highlighted by the delicious breakfast. We could choose from a variety of choices (eggs, bacon, haggis, sausage, etc.) and help ourselves with juice and cereals. Outside we had plenty of space in their lovley garden to enjoy and just relax in one of the benches. Parking was never a problem and all in all it was a wonderful place for the first days of our trip.

The place was so well kept and beautiful. The people there were so pleasant and very helpful with everything. I would definitely come back and stay again.

Situated in the historic Maxwelltwon area of Dumfries, the traditional sandstone Lauren House offers free private off-road parking and free WiFi access. The host is such a lovely person and makes very good breakfast! The room has everything one would need and is conveniently located (not too far from main access roads and still its just a small walk to the town center). I highly recommend staying staying a few nights here.
