My mum, who is Japanese but lives in Australia, wanted to enjoy Japanese food & the presentation, variety and well thought out menu was amazing We came for her 96th b/day & the main reasons mum wanted to come to Japan was to eat Japanese food We weren’t disappointed The presentation was amazing- they do say with Japanese food, you eat with your eyes 1st. It was definitely the best Japanese dishes ever that we have had We had Kaseki They offered included pick up/drop off to Atami station which was appreciated We didn’t go out but enjoyed relaxing in our room Watching Japanese TV and movies through VOC that was provided - it made it more enjoyable and the room was very comfortable Having our own Onsen on our balcony was so so enjoyable & relaxing One morning I woke up early and watched the sun riise out of the sea whilst having an Onsen Even my mum could enjoy this Onsen As it was her bday, they offered being able to order a bday cake -& flowers too They also took a photo of us with the cake and surprised us with a framed photo We will remember this trip to Atami Sekaie for years to come A very very special stay!!!

Food is excellent, service is impeccable, and the onsen is to 'die for.'

Free shuttle service from Futo Station or Jōgasaki - Kaigan Station is available upon prior request. This resort was absolutely wonderful. Ryokan type experience but in a western style environment with hardwood floors in the rooms. The staff are so warm and kind and go above and beyond to provide amazing service. Huge room with outdoor open air bath overlooking the ocean, bed was super firm with great pillows, and there was a huge smart TV which was a welcome break from 5 Japanese TV channels at other hotels. The food served at dinner and breakfast was a real highlight...each dish was amazing made with local ingredients, presented like works of art. Coming here was the most memorable part of our entire Japan trip.
