Friendly owners who live below the unit, but do their best not to intrude in any way. They were always helpful. Sea in front, though full of sea urchins is very clean, good for morning and evening swims and there is a corridor in the water where there are no urchins after which the seabed is sandy. We spent a month there as a vacation and remote work mix. Rooms are big, beds are comfortable. Has all the appliances for a longer stay. There are beaches from 2mins walk to a car drive away which are also very good. Very safe neighborhood, we had our expensive bikes in front, plus we usually left stuff outside and nobody touched anything.

Loved the views across the bay. Wonderful view from the family table and kitchen (they are upstairs). House was fully equipped, more so than most of the houses of its category. We felt welcome and at home. We visited late November, and despite the cold weather outside, the house was nice and warm; did not even have to switch on heating. We will revisit!

We had perfect stay in this great villa, that feels more like home than just a rented property. It is 3 level house, nicely decorated with all facilities for long or short stay. Bathroom in basement is work of art, there are also two bedrooms on this level. On the ground level there is great living room with the kitchen, dinning area and second bathroom. The top level of the house is great bedroom with perfect view on the village. We stayed with two kids and dog and enjoyed every moment in the house. As mentioned before, it feels like hope and that is what how kids called the house "our second house". Marathos is peaceful place, without beach bars, louds music, even without taverna. The only taverna is outside of the village next to local road on the way to main road to Volos. There are at least 4 beaches, in the village and in the next village that is 3-4 minutes drive from Marathos. All beaches are clean, water is usually calm, you will forget crowds and noise. Volos is very close, Pelion as well, so many beaches, supermarket and sites are just kilometers from Marathos.
Dimitris is GREAT host. I don't have enough right words to describe him and I am sure we will return to Blue Bay Villa soon! He helped us a lot during wildfires in the area. I also cannot find the words to thank him.

Everywhere was so clean and the location was very close to the beach.
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It is quiet with great view from the balcony. The owners are very friend and would bend over backwards to please their customers. We are definitely coming back.
