What makes this place even more special is knowing that Brian, the owner and visionary behind it, built the cabin with his own hands over several years. That personal touch is evident everywhere. The surrounding garden is rustic yet lush, creating a serene atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at peace. In the evenings, we gathered around a cozy campfire, sharing stories under the stars—a truly unforgettable experience. Mornings were pure bliss: opening the door to the most stunning view imaginable. During the day, we went on a genuine nature walk, exploring the beauty of the area. The highlight? Spotting a rare species of wild monkey that we hadn’t seen in any other national park! It was an incredible moment that made the adventure even more unique. If you’re looking for a place that combines natural beauty, tranquility, and authentic craftsmanship, Amboseli Trails is the perfect choice. Highly recommended for anyone who wants an experience that feels both personal and extraordinary!

The Kilima camp is very close to the main entrance of Amboseli, and is inside a compound that also features a small conference center. The dining hall is large and rather beautiful, with a comfortable bar located on the opposite site. There is a tower inside the dining area which, via several intermediate floors, leads up to a roof deck which offers a spectacular view over Amboseli and surrounding landscape. We really liked our spacious, almost luxurious tent, which featured a wooden sliding door and a large ensuite bathroom. In fact, it felt more like a house than a tent. The food was excellent throughout.

All the staff were wonderful, very kind, helpful, and honest. The view of Mount Kilimanjaro is absolutely beautiful and visible from all rooms. We were initially hesitant to book after reading a review mentioning a problem with late arrivals, but our experience was completely different. We arrived late, and everything went smoothly. No one tried to overcharge or scam us, they treated us very well throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

After 2 weeks in Africa, this was our one and only experience where we truly felt in the African Savanah!! The location is stunning, with the views of Kilimanjaro and the Savannah spreading in front of you!! It is also a small camp, meaning it does feel like a true safari experience and not a hotel vibe as it all other lodges we stayed at!! And the best, all that with the comfort of a cozy bed and warm showers!!! And for a very reasonable price point!! We highly recommend the Little Amanya Camp!!

Small remote camp with stellar views of Kilimanjaro! The staff were all super friendly and were able to help us plan a last minute game drive and nature walk with an excellent guide. Overall very good value for money. The solar panel electricity and water heater also worked surprisingly well and we didn’t have any issues with amenities.

The Elewana Tortilis Camp was in a beautiful setting and the staff pulled out all of the stops to make our stay memorable. From the morning coffee/tea and cookies at wake-up to the breakfast in the bush and sundowner on top of a hill with staff Masai teaching us about their culture, the staff outdid themselves. The guide knew exactly how to track the elusive cats so that we were able to see a lioness and her 5 cubs and a cheetah and her 5 cubs. Not to mention the herds of elephants and many giraffes! What an amazing sight! Peris, Chris, Jimma, Ben, Graeme and Sandy, as well as all of the other staff whose names I have sadly forgotten, made for a fantastic safari experience!
