I had a wonderful stay at Amakhala Safari Lodge. The staff go above and beyond, the food is good and plentiful, and the suite is heaven. I recommend arriving by 2 PM on your check-in day so you can attend the afternoon drive. The drives are fantastic; the guides are very knowledgable and the reserve is huge. Come with a good attitude; you may or may not see depending on the weather or the fact that animals are unpredictable - but the guides will try their hardest! My guide Des made several efforts to find rhinos - even staying later than normal until we found them!

Located in the heart of the Amakhala Game Reserve, Woodbury Tented Camp offers an authentic outdoor experience in safari tents. The camp overlooks the ancient floodplain of the Bushmans River.

Didn't know what to expect from this Game Reserve, but was over the moon to find a real gem of a place. Wonderful, friendly staff, delicious food, best rangers, going out of their way to find you every animal that you request. Special shout out to Lenny best guide ever! Accommodation was clean and comfortable. Planning on bringing our whole family here in the near future. Would I recommend this place to family and friends 100% yes!

What a perfect end to our holiday. The staff are incredible, the rangers have such a vast knowledge and manage to find everything you could want. The care from the staff is top notch, from running you a bath when you get back from the evening drives to keeping you topped up! The rooms are lovely, each very private with their own deck and outdoor shower that isn't overlooked! The beds are very comfy. The reserve itself is the perfect size with options to branch into other areas if you need to, but without spending hours driving there. We will definitely be sending friends and family here, worth every penny.

Offering an intimate Big 5 safari experience, Quatermain's 1920's Safari Camp features a boma bonfire and BBQ facilities. It is located in the Amakhala Game Reserve.
