It rained the whole day when we were there, but staying here still make it a worthwhile vacation. The bathtub and the bbq was wonderful, and the place was quite private. Bed is very comfortable too, the whole place was made up to feel luxurious. Highly recommend

What a gorgeous place! I wish I had booked longer. I had one of the Glamping units overlooking the sea. No toilet but the price to pay for the perfect position! Absolutely gorgeous and you could hear the sound of the waves at night. That is, obviously if you weren't foolish enough to put on your air-conditioning! I saw the penguins come out of the sea and waddle up the hill. Make sure you have the red torch and do not do not do not shine the white torch on them as it disorientates them. I stayed until 11 at night watching them as I was so mesmerized. What a fabulous amazing place this is. Book at least two nights .

Our original accommodation was cancelled due to weather damage so we booked this stay last minute. And well, it was a blessing in disguise. The Bush Retreat turned out to be our favorite accommodation during our whole 10 day trip in Tasmania. The grounds and facilities were absolutely gorgeous. The staff was lovely. She answered all our questions about the stay and also offered plenty of recommendations for our vacation itinerary. The honesty bar had reasonable priced food and drinks. We also took full advantage of the kitchen.

It was very cute and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped. A short walk to the centre of Scamander and the beach. The owner/manager was very friendly.

So relaxing, tucked away with views of the lovely forth river and surrounding rural landscape. Being warmed by the outside fire whilst watching the sunset sky change hues was a wonderful start to the weekend. A very comfy bed, and I loved the choice of an inside bathroom or outside toilet with a view! A beautiful walk down the country lane to the famous forth pub, so convenient!
