I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Nomád Hotel for three days in one of their luxurious bubble tents. I must say, my experience was nothing short of extraordinary. First and foremost, let's talk about the breakfast section. It left me speechless. The food served was of Michelin category - every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavors. What impressed me even more was that all the ingredients were sourced locally, ensuring the freshest and highest quality meals. The wine selection at Nomád Hotel is truly extraordinary. They have curated a collection of wines that would please even the most discerning connoisseurs. It was a delight to sip on a glass of fine wine while enjoying the breathtaking view of the sky from the comfort of my bed in the bubble tent. Speaking of which, the bubble tent experience was unlike anything I've ever seen before. Being able to stargaze and feel at one with nature was truly magical. The surrounding area of the hotel is peaceful and serene, providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The hotel itself is decorated in a retro style, which adds a touch of charm and uniqueness to the overall experience. I have never seen a hotel quite like this, and it definitely stands out from the rest. Lastly, I must commend the staff at Nomád Hotel. They were incredibly helpful and kind throughout my stay, always going above and beyond to ensure that every need was met. Their level of service truly exceeded my expectations. In conclusion, I cannot recommend Nomád Hotel enough. From the luxurious bubble tent accommodation to the exceptional breakfast and wine selection, this hotel truly deserves its 5-star superior rating. Istvan (I am sorry if I have spelled this incorrectly) and his wife are wonderful hosts. They are kind and generous and nothing is too much for them. The food is home cooked. We stayed for 6 nights and had the pleasure of trying a variety of traditional Hungarian meals. My favourites were the venison goulash and the bean goulash. My daughter is a little fussy and so Istvan learned the English for asking what her favourite food was and she had pizza the next day! Istvan's English is good and he uses a translator app for anything he is unsure of and so communication is good. The hotel is at the end of a three and a half km track, on top of a forested hill. It is beautifully isolated. There are many labelled trails around the hill and you can walk down a steep path into the village of Lillafured. If you visit the tourist centre in the village you can get a free map showing all the trails. There is also a cable car, which can take you up and down the hill. This is the only public transport to the hotel as taxis will not take you down the track. We did not have a car, as didn't another couple there. They used the cable car to get to the hotel and Istvan kindly picked us up from the bus stop. Walking down the hill when we left was fairly easy, but walking up, with bags, would be difficult. Unfortunately, I broke my arm, whilst out walking. Istvan insisted on organising for his friends, Veda and David to take me to the hospital. They waited with me all day and brought me back with a Hungarian souvenir plaster cast. I am indebted to them all. Despite this mishap we had a very enjoyable stay and I fully recommend it.

The tent features air conditioning, a private entrance, a balcony with mountain views as well as a private bathroom boasting a bath. The unit has 1 bed. This was our second time at Nomad and definitely not the last. The place is an absolute gem and it's run by the friendliest people. Here, you will really feel like part of the extended family, not just a guest out of many. I just love the atmosphere, the imaginative little details/small touches, the food (!) and also, I must mention how dog friendly it is! Our dog was basically off the lead the whole time, even in the restaurant and the escape room! He quickly became everyone's friend, and it wasn't just the owners who loved dogs but all the other guests too. Our boy had the time of his life, and we all felt like home from the first second.
