This place is magical. The guy running it is so welcoming, and catered to our needs from start to finish, even helping with special requests which meant going out of his way for us. The property is so tranquil, and we left feeling relaxed after being able to spend time together away from the hustle bustle. We were able to rent a scooter easily from the campsite, and use the kayak as much as we wanted. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean & had everything we needed. Highly recommend this to everyone & would go again in a heartbeat!

Super friendly family with a beautiful garden that is right next to a river. You see locals swimming in this river sometimes. Breakfast was cheap and super tasty. Can recommend this little gem :)

He made us feel welcome, helped with renting bicycles and even did a very nice bicycle tour with us. The location is perfect if you want to see the sacred city (15 minutes walk away) and feel like being in nature. It is also a very good starting point to do a bicycle tour to Mihintale (which was a great experience!) From the nice rooftop terrace you can see the sunset over the stupas. Really good location close to the national Park. We were originally supposed to stay in Green Sapphire but they let us down a few hours before we were due to arrive (seems they’ve done it a lot looking at the Google reviews), but the Mango Villa team had everything sorted even though we booked just a few hours earlier that day they were still able to organise 2 full day safaris for the following 2 days where we saw all sorts of great wildlife. Staff are all really friendly, especially the man who brings the food across in the evenings (unfortunately I don’t know his name). The food is good especially considering the remote location and nice packed lunches for the safari each day. Definitely the place to stay if you’re planning a Wilpattu safari!
