Amazing attention to detail from arrival to departure. Our assigned host was awesome. He was informative, witty and he knew everything we needed to know. The meals were impressive and the service was phenomenal.

With lake views, Nirvaan Safari Lodge is situated in Wilpattu and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden, terrace and barbecue. We couldn’t fault Nirvaan Safari Lodge and had a fantastic 2 night stay. The food was amazing, all cooked to order with delicious vegetable, chicken and fish curries. The setting is idyllic away quite far from the road next to a paddy field. Lots of birds and insects to see. The biodiversity meant there weren’t many mosquitos too! The tents have everything you need. They aren’t big but they are comfortable with a spacious bathroom attached and a nice balcony to sit at. Ranil and his team really looked after us and their service is great. Our safari to Wilpattu was amazing and organised by the lodge. We saw leopard, bear, monkeys, three types of deer, crocodiles and many beautiful birds. The naturalist was a fountain of knowledge and made the day really special. Thank you for a great stay.

Situated in Achchamulai, Wilpattu Green Cabin features accommodation with seating area. The property has lake and river views. There is a picnic area and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. I had a wonderful stay with Riswan and his family. They truly care about offering the best possible experience to their guests and sharing the beauty of their region. They even managed to organize a last-minute safari for me at a very reasonable price, especially considering how well the day went (great driver, breakfast + lunch included) – $50 for a half day, $95 for a full day. As for the wildlife, I was lucky not only in the park but also around the village where the guesthouse is located. It’s not uncommon to see one or even several elephants passing by – though of course, that’s up to Mother Nature! Overall, a fantastic experience. A big thank you to Riswan and his brother for their kindness and for taking the time to help me plan my route. Good to know: there’s a local bus that runs from the village to Puttalam for 150 LKR, 1h, starting around 7 AM, with connections to many other destinations from there.

For the meals only option, safaris could be arranged with the camp directly, at an additional cost to be paid directly to the property. So wonderfull place! It was a great expirience to stay at the Big Game Safari camp. The people are so friendly and kind and the candle light diner is so good and like A fairytale. We love Everything about it and had also A beautifull Safari day. Book A hole day Safari instead of A half day is my advice

- Pre-dinner drinks around the campfire and wine (by the glass) during dinner. Pictures perfectly represent the experience at Mahoora. Team was fabulous and helpful at all moments. The tent is luxurious and a fabulous experience for our family. We had so much fun on this visit a d highly recommended Eco Team and their great camping facilities and services. Bonfire side dinner was a highlight!

There is free private parking and the property features paid airport shuttle service. Hashan is an awesome host! He is very caring and you can always count on him for anything and have nice chats! We basically found a new friend! His little resort is very cozy. The rooms were simple but you had everything you needed. You can choose your breakfast and Dinner Time and the food was really good too. His dogs and his cat are super friendly and cute and he takes care not only of his customers but also of all the animals. Thanks again for having us, it was a great experience ❤️

Beautiful whimsical details with a rustic tropical beach vibe, and extremely helpful and attentive staff. In house chef cooking made to order delicious Sri Lankan dishes. Just the place to get away from it all. We ended our 2 week trip here and it was the perfect R&R. Spent our last day on the water with the Dolphins.
