Certain units in the farm stay have private entrance and are equipped with wardrobe and dressing room. Some of the units include a satellite flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower and a hair dryer. The units at the farm stay feature air conditioning and a desk. Very private and secluded campsite. We were the only guests on the campsite which is ion the Auob riverbed, under ancient Camel Thorn trees. There’s water and the best working donkey boiler I’ve experienced so far for a hot shower. Hanli and Carla are wonderful and nice people and we enjoyed our stay there a lot. The place has a lot of animals, too. We saw giraffes, gemsbok, steenbok, white-backed vultures on the nest, bat-eared foxes and rosy-faced lovebirds.

Located about 5 km from the Mata-Mata border post into Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, Torgos Safari Lodge is situated at the dry Auob River and offers game viewing opportunities.The lodge has an outdoor pool and restaurant. Great lodge and the perfect for our purpose of entering Mata Mata early the next morning . We enjoyed the views over the dry river beds, lots of birds and many ground squirrels

Grunau Country Hotel in Grünau has 2-star accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a bar. There is a children's playground and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking.

All guest rooms in the hotel are fitted with a kettle. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, and some units at Grunau Country Hotel have a patio. The small, simple room was very clean (and so were the shared toilets/showers). The hotel has made an effort to make the place homey with a bit of decor inside the room and plants/decor throughout the property.. The wind and cold were fierce during our stay, so we were very grateful to have a good heater in our room (and they provide enough blankets). While the WIFI is only available in the reception/bar/restaurant area, it works well. Good to have a reasonably priced restaurant on site, as there are few eating options in Grunau (you can order your meals ahead to be ready at a certain time). We stayed for two nights while visiting Fish River Canyon as it is much more affordable than the places in/nearer the park (unless you are camping).
