Featuring views of the Swartberg Mountains, each bush tent has its own open-air hot tub. There are coffee/tea facilities, plugs and in/outside lights, electric blankets, and a deck area. Karen and Tracy are lovely hosts. We had the two luxury tents and the Honeymoon hut for a party of 6. The evening braai and breakfast were excellent. Great cooks. But what really was totally WOW, was the location and views of the Mountains and Klein Karoo. Being close to nature but also to all the tourist sites. We did a nice morning hike on the property. Very highly recommend for the authentic Klein Karoo and "out of Africa" Experience. Would definitely come again and will send all friends there should they visit the area.

This tent features a kitchenware, barbecue and dining area. Protea Lodge - Glamping in the Karoo se nachází v destinaci Barrydale a nabízí zahradu a terasu. This was my second time staying on this large sheep farm property (prior was at a different accomodation), and it was a lot of fun! My friend and I stayed in the permanent 'Hemingway tent' on the outside deck, but could have used the inside double bed if we'd be a couple. The deck's shaded table and chairs makes for a nice reading spot or nature observation post. It was too cool to use the plunge pool during our stay, but that's a big plus after a hot day, I'm sure. Perched on a gentle hillside, we had everything we needed in the enclosed and well-appointed interior to enjoy a beautiful couple of nights under the stars and the views across the broad, sweeping Tradouw valley to the distant Langeberg mountain landscapes of the Boosmansbos Wilderness Area. Far enough out of town for privacy and quiet, but close enough to restaurants, shops, and stores so that going there wasn't some oppressive trek.

This air-conditioned tent comes equipped with electric blankets and offers a mountain & river view. We liked everything! Wonderful quiet place, green gardens and hills around, cosy rooms, many attractions around. We also loved Toffee the dog, who followed us at any walk we went, he is a sweetest little friend ever ❣️ We wish we could stay a week instead of 2 nights.
