The decorations, the size of the room, the bed, the cotton sheets, and the view of monkeys and other animals outside my sliding glass door. The amenities provided in the rooms made you never want to leave. I have had coffee in the morning on my private balcony in my bathrobe after my wonderful hot shower in the luxurious bathroom. At night we sat by the pool drinking wine after our dinner. This exceptional hotel is the best-valued hotel I have ever visited.

I took my fiancé (then girlfriend) away for the weekend with the intention of proposing. I got in contact with the reserve and told them about my plans and requested them to assist with the set-up. They took us out on a private game drive whilst the staff was preparing a breakfast spot at the view point. Everyone assisted and overshot expectations. Apart from the lengths they went to to make the moment special, the whole weekend was amazing. The staff is exceptionally friendly and one feels at home. I would definitely recommend Summerplace for a weekend break away.

A wonderful location with very friendly staff, providing everything you need and more. We loved the warm welcome, the great view over Olifant river from the restaurant and our Rhino Tent. We felt pampered by the good care that was taken of us and loved the game drives.

The tents have an private bathroom, a kitchenette and tradtional lapa area. What a great find. You know on the long gravel road in that it’s going to be fabulous and it is. Lovely lady greeted us and really looked after us for the few days we were there. Lovely room, comfortable beds and a hot shower. Beautiful views over the river and valley. There’s a common room with lots of books, sofas, pool table, tennis table AND a piano. Fantastic. Food in the restaurant was also very good and the breakfast was excellent.
