Spotlessly clean and very comfortable rooms, with excellent communal kitchen/dining/lounge shared with three other rooms in the block. I was nervous thinking this may have been student accommodation rented out during break time, but it is not. Much higher standard rooms they use for visiting academics and families, and let out commercially when not being used. Access to oarking on site was not an issue.

This boutique guest house is situated 12 km off the N71 road and 20 km from Cork Airport. The spectacular Old Head Golf Links is 25 minutes’ drive. Cosy and perfectly clean. I loved the space. Very central location, just a short walk from the centre. We were provided with tea and coffee which was wonderful. The hosts also lit a fire in the living room so we were able to enjoy a cup of tea by the fireplace in the evening whilst it was raining outside. It could not have been better!

Everything about Killaran house was exceptional from beginning to end, from checking in to checking out. Breda the host was truly amazing. She was professional, friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable when it came to seek on advice on places to eat. The location of the Killaran House was so central, within a few minutes of walking distance of central town and plenty of parking on the property. The family room was spacious, bright, airy and a pure delight, better than any hotel room. Tea and coffee making facilities available 24/7, as well as toiletries if you should forget anything. Definitely my family and I will be staying again with Breda on our next trip to Ireland. 7 stars 🌟 without hesitation.
