Traditional multi-course dinners, hot-spring baths overlooking old forests, and spacious Japanese rooms with nature views await guests at Negiya Ryofukaku. As someone who's never been to an Onsen or a Ryokan, it was a one of a kind experience you could not get elsewhere. The staffs were incredibly friendly and very accommodating throughout our stay - they even helped to cater to our dietary requirements for our included breakfast. After check-in, a staff gave us a tour of the entire Inn and the Onsens, as well as our room, and gave us a leaflet with information of everything we'd need. The 2 public Onsens and the private Onsens they have were beautiful, and even had a web app you could conveniently use to check if they were vacant or busy. The breakfast was amazing, and the surrounding area was beautiful and had plenty of souvenir shops and eateries with amazing food. The location was also super near to the local bus terminal and train station, and you could easily get to/from them and these shops by walking. Should you need transportation to get to/from the Ryokan, they also provide free shuttle during certain hours you could easily request for by calling them up. To those coming here from Osaka, the easiest route I found was to get to the Hankyu Bus Terminal just outside of the Osaka Station and to get bus tickets to Arima Onsen which costed me 1,400 JPY - the bus journey itself took about ~45 mins-1 hour. All in all, I highly recommend anyone wishing for this Ryokan/Onsen experience to stay here.

Located in Ikuno, 45 km from Toyooka City History Museum, Japan's oldest remaining company housing provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and express check-in and check-out. I’m not even sure where to begin — our stay in Ikuno was truly unforgettable. Our host, Rehan (a fellow South African living in Ikuno), went above and beyond for us. He offered to fetch us in Kobe walked us around the city, drove us all the way to Ikuno and even organised the most incredible meal for us at the local izakaya. His kindness set the tone for the whole stay. The accommodation itself was breathtaking - a beautifully renovated traditional company house that felt both historic and homely. Spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. One of my favourite moments was waking up to the sound of rain and looking out at the trees on the mountain. Pure magic. I would recommend this stay in a heartbeat. The accommodation is remarkable, the town is enchanting, and Rehan’s generosity, passion, and knowledge made the experience feel genuinely special. This was my favourite part of my entire trip in Japan and moments I will never forget. Thank you Rehan, cannot wait to visit again!

Taketoritei Maruyama is a non-smoking Japanese-style accommodation featuring natural hot spring baths for private use and free Wi-Fi throughout the property. Stunning property with so many little details that made our stay memorable. We changed plans last minute and booked a stay the day before and the staff were extremely accommodating booking us in for the kaiseki dinner and the children’s meals. The meals and private onsen were the highlight for us. The futon beds were very comfortable and the free shuttle bus to the town is very convenient. Would recommend this wonderful place to anyone.

2.3 km from Kinumaki Shrine in Toyooka, Asagiriso offers accommodation with access to a hot spring bath, spa facilities and public bath. Very clean and spacious, love the facility and friendly staff.

Located in Fukusaki, 18 km from Himeji Castle and 37 km from Ankokuji Temple, Tetsu-juro former Ogunis residence, Himeji Castles back parlor-like"400-year-old inn" offers a garden and air... The premise is well located in this beautiful and peaceful town of Fukusaki. She lays against the sacred mountain, facing the fundamental of Japan: rice field. It is very meaningful. The building is amazingly reversed and maintained. I can see how much effort Yamada san and local people spent to make sure this historical architecture will be in the best status to demonstrate the local history to the people coming from the world. The staying experience is fantastic. I and my wife found your hotel on the internet. We were not sure whether this would be satisfying my family. It turned this was one of the best decision in my time as a tourist. We all love the staying here and we all highly impressed by Yamada san meticulous and consistent high level is customer service. Yamada san is being very responsive from the beginning when we were exchanging info by emails. The SOP (standard operation process) sheet is the the first time that we ever see. Even though we have use the translator from time to time, Yamada san are very patient and are so kind. Thanks to Yamada san for arranging the tea ceremony. It is impressive experience. And thank you for arranging taxi and guiding us the way to the railway station. Again, the house owner Yamada san is very kind. We are all impressed by everything. Yamada san takes care of us ^_^very well. If we have more time, we definitely would choose to stay more nights.

Set in Toyooka, within 13 km of Toyooka City History Museum and 26 km of Ito Kiyonaga Museum, ワンコと泊まるジャスミンクリーク offers accommodation with ski-to-door access and free WiFi as well as free private... We felt so welcomed in this Inn while traveling with our dog. The room was wide with very comfortable beds, kitchen and spacious, clean bathroom. Big surprise was large dog run/ garden and onsen that you can use privately. Our dog enjoyed running in the garden and the view of the garden from the room.

田舎の宿 吉田屋, a property with a garden and a terrace, is situated in Ōgo, 5.4 km from Misaka Shrine, 7.4 km from Shakubuji Temple, as well as 8.3 km from Miki Athletic Stadium. It was one of the best experiences in Japan. The hosts were very kind and welcoming, doing their best to make us feel at home. We stayed after dinner, discussing about every one of us while drinking sake and beer and it was amazing! The hot pot for dinner and the breakfast were very good. Moreover, the outdoor bath was amazing!
