Beautiful outdoor hot spring, and the mixed-gender lets you enjoy it with your significant other :) it really helps that the place picks you up and drops you off from/to nearby train stations, making it very accessible. Dinner and breakfast was mostly traditional with some modern elements, so it feels genuine but at the same time not too foreign.

Homely rooms with mountain views, free Wi-Fi and a private bath await guests at Villa Revage, 350 metres from Nikko Botanical Garden. A really nice place. The interior is beautiful, breakfast was delicious! Staff were helpful. We enjoyed walking around the villa, there is beautiful nature nearby.

Offering quiet street views, COZY Inn Free Shuttle service is an accommodation set in Nikko, 12 km from Tobu Nikko Station and 14 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine. Hiro is a super host and will do everything to make your stay more comfortable. The house is very quite at night too.

Situated in Manazuru, 17 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station, COUSCOUS Glamping Manazuru offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and barbecue facilities. I had one of the best birthdays of my adult life here! I stopped writing reviews but it would be a disservice not to rate this glampsite. The tent was spacious and high, the toilets were clean, the food was divine, and the customer service おもてなし was impeccable. I was exhausted from work, stressed, jaded by city life, eating poorly and sleeping badly. I am so grateful to unwind in such a gorgeous location surrounded by nature and kindness. I recommend bringing crocks or sturdy slip-on outdoor shoes, especially for the toilet. I also suggest bringing earplugs if you wake easily to bird noise. I also recommend the venison stew, the cassis orange, and the apple pie. To the company, I know hot water is provided in a thermos but I would definitely rent a mini kettle if you had one available. All in all, a fantastic experience especially after two awful group camping trips. ありがとうございました！

Located within 35 km of Kumagaya Rugby Stadium and 48 km of Ishidan-gai Steps in Kiryu, Okiya Guest House & Tapas Bar offers accommodation with seating area. Okiya is a warm and welcoming ryokan ran by a lovely couple that treated me like their own. Feel free to ask any requests from them, including ebike rentals and tours. Do be sure to let them know in advance so they can plan and prepare. Kiryu is a wonderful place full of history, and this former geisha house fits right in. Aside from touring the city, an evening spent getting to know both the hosts and the house can be an attraction too!

Boasting mountain views, Hotel Sengokuhara 533 features accommodation with balcony, around 13 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station. Excellent facilities and a very cosy, well-kept apartment. Everything was spotless and gave us a vibrant, homely feeling from the moment we arrived. The check-in and check-out processes were extremely easy and accessible. All the details were clearly provided, and the staff replied to our questions almost immediately through the chat. I would definitely have stayed longer to disconnect and enjoy the surrounding nature. The location is also very convenient, just a short walk from a bus stop with direct connections to the main train station. Highly recommended. The photos match the reality perfectly.

Boasting a garden, shared lounge and views of mountain, YUPOPPO Hakone is situated in Hakone, 43 km from Fuji-Q Highland. Our stay at Yupopo was truly wonderful. Dai was an incredibly friendly and helpful host who made us feel right at home. This was by far the best place we stayed during our three-week Japan trip! The beds were super comfortable, and we loved wearing the yukata. The onsen at the homestay was relaxing, and Dai’s breakfast was simple yet delicious. A special touch was the homemade soy milk brownies he served upon arrival — such a thoughtful gesture! Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would love to return. 🥰❤️
