Boasting hot spring baths in a spectacular outdoor setting by Takaragawa River, Japanese-style hotel Takaragawa Onsen Osenkaku is a 10-minute drive from Hodaigi Ski Resort. Beautiful outdoor hot spring, and the mixed-gender lets you enjoy it with your significant other :) it really helps that the place picks you up and drops you off from/to nearby train stations, making it very accessible. Dinner and breakfast was mostly traditional with some modern elements, so it feels genuine but at the same time not too foreign.

Homely rooms with mountain views, free Wi-Fi and a private bath await guests at Villa Revage, 350 metres from Nikko Botanical Garden. Jeg likte fellesområdet og onsen veldig godt.

I Nikko, 11 kilometer fra Nikko stasjon, ligger COZY Inn Free Shuttle service, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering og en fellesstue. Hiro is a super host and will do everything to make your stay more comfortable. The house is very quite at night too.

I Manazuru ligger COUSCOUS Glamping Manazuru, som har en restaurant, bar, en hage, romservice, terrasse og grill. Boenhetene har utsikt over sjøen. I had one of the best birthdays of my adult life here! I stopped writing reviews but it would be a disservice not to rate this glampsite. The tent was spacious and high, the toilets were clean, the food was divine, and the customer service おもてなし was impeccable. I was exhausted from work, stressed, jaded by city life, eating poorly and sleeping badly. I am so grateful to unwind in such a gorgeous location surrounded by nature and kindness. I recommend bringing crocks or sturdy slip-on outdoor shoes, especially for the toilet. I also suggest bringing earplugs if you wake easily to bird noise. I also recommend the venison stew, the cassis orange, and the apple pie. To the company, I know hot water is provided in a thermos but I would definitely rent a mini kettle if you had one available. All in all, a fantastic experience especially after two awful group camping trips. ありがとうございました！

I Kiryu, 35 kilometer fra Kumagaya rugbystadion, ligger Okiya Guest House & Tapas Bar, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en fellesstue og en restaurant. Okiya is a warm and welcoming ryokan ran by a lovely couple that treated me like their own. Feel free to ask any requests from them, including ebike rentals and tours. Do be sure to let them know in advance so they can plan and prepare. Kiryu is a wonderful place full of history, and this former geisha house fits right in. Aside from touring the city, an evening spent getting to know both the hosts and the house can be an attraction too!

Excellent facilities and a very cosy, well-kept apartment. Everything was spotless and gave us a vibrant, homely feeling from the moment we arrived. The check-in and check-out processes were extremely easy and accessible. All the details were clearly provided, and the staff replied to our questions almost immediately through the chat. I would definitely have stayed longer to disconnect and enjoy the surrounding nature. The location is also very convenient, just a short walk from a bus stop with direct connections to the main train station. Highly recommended. The photos match the reality perfectly.

I Hakone, 12 kilometer fra Hakone-Yumoto stasjon, ligger YUPOPPO Hakone, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en fellesstue og en restaurant. Our stay at Yupopo was truly wonderful. Dai was an incredibly friendly and helpful host who made us feel right at home. This was by far the best place we stayed during our three-week Japan trip! The beds were super comfortable, and we loved wearing the yukata. The onsen at the homestay was relaxing, and Dai’s breakfast was simple yet delicious. A special touch was the homemade soy milk brownies he served upon arrival — such a thoughtful gesture! Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would love to return. 🥰❤️
