As soon as we arrived the staff went out of their way to make our stay special in every way. The food was also amazing and the onsen was relaxing. A highlight of our trip to Japan

The staff are very professional and organized. I really appreciate that they took my special requests seriously. The service is superb. The place is so beautiful, spacious and clean. The food is great.

L’hébergement 金春 -in KONPAL Penthouse- propose un jardin et une terrasse. Very spacious penthouse apartment that has access to rooftop terrace with street and Mt Aso view. We enjoyed going up the rooftop terrace to just chill, read a book, have a drink and enjoy the Kumamoto weather. Deck chairs, chairs and table provided too. Heating, ventilation and lighting is sufficient for comfort in all seasons. The place is tastefully decorated and super well equipped kitchen like a good quality home. The bar counter with bar stools and large dining table are great for hosting a get together. There are board games, big TV, a set of golf clubs and putting mat for use. Many cans of beer were provided in the fridge for our consumption. Bathroom is big and the bathtub fitted 2 persons very comfortably. We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. Host was helpful and precise with instructions that made check-in very smooth. Definitely a Value-for-money place which we will return to!

L’hébergement Rental villa Gontaya se trouve à Takamori, à respectivement 48 km, 50 km et 25 km de ces lieux d’intérêt : Parc Suizenji, Château de Kumamoto et Mont Aso. Gontaya was such a lovely stay. The cabin is cozy, well-equipped, and thoughtfully set in a scenic, peaceful area — the kind of place you genuinely don’t mind staying in and slowing down. Everything was comfortable and well maintained, making it easy to settle in and relax. The host was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. A fun bonus was getting to meet Gonta, the villa’s celebrity dog — absolutely charming and a great touch to the experience. It’s a quiet neighbourhood, so having a car is recommended, as public transport access may be limited. Overall, a wonderful and relaxing getaway that we truly enjoyed.

If you have a car, location is excellent with a separate Onsen only steps away, where they offer public and private rooms. It's also convenient to get to the trails of Mt Aso and other local sightseeing. The home itself if wonderful with 2 bedrooms upstairs (1 western, 1 tatami mats), and a full bath on main level with kitchen, dining, living, and many electronics available to use. They are even very generous with some supplies in the refrigerator (which we greatfully used as we forgot to buy Mayo at the store) and access to some shochu (which we conservatively sampled a few of the open bottles). The views are wonderful and we were there in the autumn and you could see the colors of the valley. We would HIGHLY recommend. We did exploring and hiking during the day and returned home to Onsen and then end the day with board games. It was perfect!

L’établissement Hitoyoshi Morinohall Ladies in - Female Only vous accueille à Hitoyoshi, à respectivement 400 mètres et 41 km de ces lieux d’intérêt : Sanctuaire Aoi Aso-jinja et Plateau d'Ebino. I love here very much! Very recommended for those who come to Hitoyoshi for Natsume Yuujincho, or any other purpose. I stayed here with a fun time. They were very friendly to me, and the space was clean and nice, I had a few days high quality sleep there. Will be sure to come back again next time I visit Hitoyoshi again.

Delicious food, cleanliness, Japanese hospitality. The food is very good. Michelin level. From our friends experience who stayed in other places in the area they only had very specific Japanese food (pickles and seaweed etc). This place served more regular to Western people Japanese food. We loved sukiyaki!!! In addition, we want to thank Dikshya, she was so kind and helpful. We speak very little Japanese so sometimes it was necessary to have a fluent English speaker. The onsen was very well equipped and the water was hot spring water. We would happily visit again!!!
