Boasting mountain views, Soil provides accommodation with a garden, barbecue facilities and a shared lounge, around 30 km from Egao Kenko Stadium Kumamoto. We drove by the cottage the first time and stopped about 100 meters ahead. Then we were approached by some local people, one of which was the owners mother. They were super friendly and she guided us to the correct location. There was a nice big spot to park our car directly in front of the cottage. We had diner at the table outside and enjoyed the night sky. From here you have great views of mount Aso and also the surrounding edges of the caldera. Great experience and one of our best rural stays in Japan. Thanks to the owner and his mother for their hospitality and kindness!

Located in Minami Aso in the Kumamoto Region, 10 km from Naka-dake, Hotel Yumeshizuku boasts a hot spring bath and sauna. Each room at this hotel is air conditioned and features a flat-screen TV. Worth the trip, and you can communicate in English.

I was not fully sure what to expect and I was so happy I chose this lovely place. Magic place within the city that once you go in, you find a wonderful special place. The big wooden door are opened and you enter into the past. all is wood, Japanese style, very well decor and design. staff are amazing! they will do all they can to help, serve and welcome you. The room we had was in the main building, Japanese style, tatami area that was ready for teatime, heated, just perfect. There are public onsens and 2 privet ones. all seems very nice to enjoy them. we did not eat in house this time. We only had one night, and I would Easly be happy to stay more. we loved this wonderful place.

金春 -in KONPAL Penthouse-, a property with a garden and a terrace, is set in Kikuyo, 5 km from Egao Kenko Stadium Kumamoto, 13 km from Suizenji Park, as well as 14 km from Kumamoto Castle. Very spacious penthouse apartment that has access to rooftop terrace with street and Mt Aso view. We enjoyed going up the rooftop terrace to just chill, read a book, have a drink and enjoy the Kumamoto weather. Deck chairs, chairs and table provided too. Heating, ventilation and lighting is sufficient for comfort in all seasons. The place is tastefully decorated and super well equipped kitchen like a good quality home. The bar counter with bar stools and large dining table are great for hosting a get together. There are board games, big TV, a set of golf clubs and putting mat for use. Many cans of beer were provided in the fridge for our consumption. Bathroom is big and the bathtub fitted 2 persons very comfortably. We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. Host was helpful and precise with instructions that made check-in very smooth. Definitely a Value-for-money place which we will return to!

Rental villa Gontaya, a property with a terrace, is situated in Takamori, 50 km from Kumamoto Castle, 25 km from Mount Aso, as well as 39 km from KK Wings. Love the wooden structure of the property. It is super spacious, and quiet. The host had provided good direction as to how to navigate to the property, making life easier for me travelling there by car (especially in the dark). The kitchen had all the utensils I needed to prepare a good decent dinner for my family. The host also kindly provided some complimentary gifts for our stays. Thank you.

Viesnīca Amakusa Tenku No Fune atrodas Kumamoto reģionā, Kami Amakusā, 41 km attālumā no Kumamoto. Viesiem ir pieejams sezonas āra baseins un termālā avota baseins. Room was spacious and had picturesque views across the inlet. Private Onsen was excellent. Restaurant setting took advantage of the location, staff were professional and attentive.

Set in Minami Aso, 35 km from Suizenji Park, Bettei Soan offers accommodation with a sauna, a hot spring bath and an open-air bath. Outstanding breakfast and dinner served in your spacious room. The onsen in your room was beautiful and spacious.

Tsukasa Royal Hotel offers a sauna and free private parking, and is within 20 km of Hirayama Hot Spring and 25 km of Hosokawa Residence Gyobutei. Parking. Onsen is clean and huge. Has sauna and cold bath. Tattoo is ok even though it says not ok. Most of the people at onsen has tattoo. Family friendly. Do not avail their breakfast buffet. Same price for kids and adults 2750 yen. Needs reservation. We reserved at 0800. Arrived at 0805 by 0835, food is gone. They’re putting away the food to get ready for lunch buffet. Not so much selections. The front desk does not speak english and will avoid talking to you. He does not entertain questions. The one helping to carry our bags speaks english and answers all our questions.
