Hotel is like a work of art, you can get lost in it. The experience from check in to check out was amazing staff is speaking English which is a huge plus if you have any questions. Room was huge with big balcony which had an amazing view of Beppu. I did book private onsen which was amazing experience. They did think of all the small details.

We loved everything about our stay! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and spacious enough for our family of 5. The tub on the porch was amazing. Grilling out on our front porch was very fun and the heaters made it nice and warm even in winter. We enjoyed morning yoga, fire pit s'mores and the free drinks and mocktails from the garden kitchen. There is an incredible park within walking distance. So much fun!

Delicious breakfast and dinner, spacious room, good facilities and very kind staffs. Especially the staffs, we arrived there in windy and cold day. They let us early check in without any surcharge and helped us to make reservation for next day trip. They were so nice and kind. It was very good experience there for my family thanks to the staffs. Highly recomended !!!

SEKIYA RESORT Terrace Midoubaru is located a 15-minute drive from JR Beppu Station and boasts guestrooms with a semi open-air bath. Guests can soak in the hot spring bath. Beautifully located a bit outside of Beppu. It is far, so remember to book dinner at the hotel in advance. You can reach the Beppu roapway quite easily by local bus though (suica card works btw). The dinner (wagyu meal set) and breakfast were excellent and the chef very accommodating as my friend is a pescetarian and does not eat meat, so he prepared a dinner and breakfast with no meat just for her. The rooms are very nice, spacious and clean with a great view over Beppu and the bay. We slept very well on the tatami style mattress and the open air bathroom with access to the hot springs water was so relaxing and nice. 100% recommend!
