Check in was super easy and I was able to check out late before my flight. The breakfast was wonderful and the rooms are really nice. My room had full bed bunk beds -- it was so nice to have a little bigger space to sleep after twin bed throughout the rest of my trip. The hostel is in a great location too and is super clean!

Casa do ti' Marrão er með svalir og útsýni yfir hljóðláta götu. Ókeypis WiFi og ókeypis bílastæði eru í boði við sumarhúsið. Gistirýmið er með sólarhringsmóttöku og kjörbúð fyrir gesti. I loved my stay at Casa do tí Marrão. I booked literally in such short notice, and the host was so kind to make sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I was blessed with the most amazing cheese made by the host. Although it was just for one night, it was the perfect place to rest and rid an oncoming migraine. I slept so good and felt at home. The apartment was very clean, quiant, and spacious. It was a nice 20 mins walk to the airport, although I never heard a plane. Very quiet and peaceful location. wish I had more time there. I do hope to stay again if available.

I spent 20 days in the Azores. but the best came at the end. I was allowed to spend 3 nights at Quinta do Espirito Santa with Lucilia and Francisco Maduro slides. I was allowed to spend my stay in a beautiful outbuilding of the Quinta. The house and the rooms in it are lovingly furnished. You are transported to another distant time. But the two hosts are definitely the highlight. I have never experienced such warm hosts. A hearty breakfast with many local specialties was served in the main building. The two gentlemen had a lot to tell and gave me an old insight into life on the Azorn and Terceira. We especially liked the conversations with Francisco. I was able to take away and learn a lot from his knowledge as a history professor. I highly recommend Quinta do Espirito Santo as a place to stay. The hosts receive 1000 points from me. Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a patio, Casa MARGO is located in Lajes. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The host was just wonderful!!! Helpful, considerate, generous, going out of her way (e.g., to check me in late at night)... The mattress was GORGEOUS!!! There weren't outdoor chairs yet (as outdoors it's still kinda work in progress), but my first full day COMFORTABLE chairs were purchased (NOT some inconveniently silly items!!!) Every appliance, every switch/bulb worked, everything was of good quality (e.g.,Grohe mountings!) I even liked the fact that there were proper mugs!!!
