I only stayed here for one night, but it left such a deep impression on me. I arrived early, feeling exhausted from travel and a little unwell, and the room was already ready for check in - something I was incredibly grateful for. But what truly made this stay unforgettable was the family hosting the place. Their kindness and care were absolutely extraordinary. They were there for every little question, provided me with everything I needed, and made me feel not just welcomed, but genuinely cared for. It was the kind of warmth and generosity that’s rare to find - I almost felt like I had become a part of their family. Thanks to them, I had a perfect rest and a smooth trip the next morning. I’ve never stayed anywhere quite like this before. The kindness I experienced here was truly something out of this world :)

The very welcoming, helpful & friendly hosts made it memorable. They replied to questions promptly & we SO appreciated the rides from & to the airport. The room is spacious & clean! There are a couple of places to eat in the neighbourhood.

Haven Hotel is a recently renovated guest house in San José where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace. A public bath is available for guests.

The hosts were excellent and spoke good English. I had to book last minute and late at night, but they were able to accommodate me, show me the parking, and made good breakfast + coffee the morning after my stay.

It was in a perfect location for an early morning flight. The room and bathroom were great. There was Netflix on the television. They offer free airport pickup. They provide a taxi phone number if you are going to the airport in the middle of the night. José was the driver who picked me up at the airport for free and he is the taxi driver I booked with in the middle of the night. He was great! The staff answer your questions quickly as well on WhatsApp or on Booking.

Great place to stay. The hostel is basically an old mansion, where you can rent in suite and shared bathroom rooms. It is lies in a very nice neighborhood close to the park.
