A special hotel that I warmly recommend if you visit Berlin. A very old location, but clean, cozy, comfortable, quiet, good bed and breakfast and polite staff. A separate location for the breakfast, with outside terrace and beautiful garden.

The staff was helpful and friendly. Helped with basic bus information, and they let us park in the back of the hotel. It's unreserved, but there were open spots both when we arrived and when we left. There is a convenient Döner place nearby and an Edeka. Walking to the Spandau Bahnhof and mall is just up the street. We went to a concert at the Citadel and had trouble finding a bus to return in the evening. No problem, it only took about 25 minutes to walk back to the hotel. The breakfast was very nice. Typical European continental, but I feel like they had a much larger selection than most hotels this size. The lady who was servicing the breakfast was also very on top of things. She quickly replenished anything that was low. We were the last ones at breakfast, and I finished the last of the orange juice about 15 minutes before breakfast was over, but she still went over and refilled it. I thought that was nice. We had a triple occupant room, which included a small single room, a shared bathroom and a larger double bed. My son's mattress was maybe a little too soft or old. He said he could feel the springs. Mine was absolutely perfect. It was firm without being hard. I slept better than I do at home. I rarely sleep well at hotels.

The room was clean, breakfast had plenty to choose from, the staff looked was very kind. I am pretty sure I will book this hotel again the next time I am in Berlin. The M48 bus in front of the hotel was means to use to get to downtown as well as to the Brandenburg Gate….I would recommend the location in the suburbs with plenty of restaurants in the area.
