Located 400m (slighty uphill) from the beach, Villa Šimović is a great place to spend your holiday in Baška Voda. It features both rooms with shared kitchen and some apartments with private ones. Free parking was also a big plus. Our apartment had everything we needed during our stay (even if it was short). Big props for the host who made our stay pleasant.

It's a beautiful place. I loved how clean and comfortable it was. So much thought was put into ensuring the guest has everything they need for the most satisfying experience staying there. You could always ask if you needed anything; the owners and staff were very hospitable and kind. The supermarkets, bakeries and beaches are very close to the villa, which was great and convenient. There is also a wonderful space right in front of the villa with a big table and benches where you can hang out, drink or eat whenever you want. Another thing I love is that on the last day of your stay, you have the option to leave your luggage stored inside after you check out, leaving space for you to enjoy the time you have left on the beach or wherever you want. All in all, I had a great time.

It was very clean and equipped with everything you need. It is located about 10–15 minutes from the beach. We also had a free parking spot in a secured parking area. The owner was very kind and communicative, which made the stay even more pleasant.

Casa Columba is a beautiful boutique hotel located right off of one of the most charming streets in Makarska. It’s an easy 5 minute walk from the main bus station, making it an easy spot to travel in and out of Makarska. While it’s tucked away in a quiet corner, it’s only a short walk to great restaurants, stores and beaches. The adults-only hotel is beautifully renovated, and very charming. The rooms are spacious, well appointed, masterfully decorated, exceptionally clean and incredibly comfortable. The host, Dino, clearly took a lot of pride in crafting an oasis with this entire space. He, Yan Yan, and Eddie were welcoming and kind, and as a solo traveler I felt both safe and incredibly comfortable. I have to call out Yan Yan in particular for being especially thoughtful, professional and warm. He really helped set a positive tone at the start of every day with exceptional service at breakfast and throughly the day with thoughtful suggestions and recommendations. I can’t say enough about how wonderful he was - his energy was a cherry on top of an already lovely stay. I look forward to recommending Casa Columba to friends and family, and returning again one day!
