Mountain View is about a 12-15 minute walk from the Center of Donegal. The grounds are beautiful and the locale is extremely quiet. The host was very helpful, making suggestions of where we might like to go and do. We basically parked our car and ambled to many of the recommended sights.

What a great location in the heart of Donegal! Really modern room above a very popular pub, but high enough above that we didn't hear a bit of pub noise. Lots of restaurants nearby, and Donegal Castle barely 5 minutes away. On-street parking is free from 6 pm on, and cheap at 0.50 euro/hour up to that time. Terrific base for exploring the Wild Atlantic Way. One small gripe: the little green lights recessed in the ceiling that are always on, which are apparently required for emergency lighting in case of fire.

Located within 20 minutes' walk of the town center of Donegal, the 4-star boutique Donegal Manor offers baking classes.

The quiet location yet how close it was to downtown. It was the best of both worlds and I did not mind having an automatic check in and check out. Our stay at Puffin Lodge was absolutely exceptional. The hosts were so kind, the rooms were very spacious, comfortable, and clean, and the location was outstanding. Puffin Lodge is situated steps from a private beach and around the corner from Fintra Beach and not too far from Donegal Town or attractions such as Slieve League. The optional continental-style breakfast was lovely as well! Highly reccomend Puffin Lodge, you will not regret it!
