Liked the location, the warm welcome from Mary (and then from John also, when he phoned the Quays Restaurant for us to make sure we could have a table before we went to the cinema!), the room size with space to sit and chat (plus fridge*) and watch TV, plus shower was good and powerful. LOVED the breakfast - it was DELICIOUS. So much better than the usual "traditional irish" cooked breakfast. I had the avocado on sourdough toast (I don't eat meat, options were good!). My friend had the frittata with mushrooms & black pudding & bacon and she loved it. I will definitely be back - I was visiting with my friend, but I will certainly return with my husband and daughter. I really loved the homely feel to Avonmore House.
