AustraliaGreat location just away from the main action in Varkala. Very peaceful. The main reasons to stay here are the staff and the food, both of which are exceptional. We were looked after when we changed our booking and then due to flight delays arrived at 1am. Devan provided excellent service and nothing was too much trouble for them. Hom Raj also looked after us for meals and drinks. We didn’t eat much from then European menu but the Keralan dishes (fish in banana leaf, malabari fish and prawn masala) were excellent. My partner cooks a lot of various regional Indian food and didn’t feel like going anywhere else. The rooms are basic in their facilities but very good value. Would happily stay again.

IndiaStay was clean, cozy and quiet, it was a nice getaway. It is on the cliff, so the beach is quite close, takes about 15-20 min by walk. Host was helpful, allowed us to keep our luggage at her stay after the checkout until late evening when we were ready to leave. Provided us with a list of recommendations for visits and for food, and that worked out well.

IndiaI recommend this peaceful guest house to visitors coming to Varkala away from noise and crowd. Many hotels guest houses in cliff, odayam, black beach so noisy and cant retire to bed peacefully. This property is situated on main road, all the beaches are in 1 km radius. Auto rikshaws are available on call and no need to wait for long. In house home made breakfast lunch and dinner available on pre order. They use coconout oil, olive oil for cooking and hence slightly costlier but that gives a guarantee for clean healthy food. Your trip wont be spoiled becuase of unhealthy food ingredients. They own 7 properties in Trivandrum and their experience is added asset to the hospitality service provider. The reception staff is very silent and supportive to guest needs. Overall i m extremely happy to be here, in all future visits Rams guest house is going to be my preferred place.

Super nice!
Very cozy and comfortable guesthouse, well-located away from the busy cliff tourist area (but still within walking distance). Our room was spacious, and the bed quality was excellent.
The guesthouse is quiet and located just 1 minute away from the beach in a charming garden.
Food is available, and laundry service is provided.
We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely come back if we return to Varkala!

Lovely place in a great location on the north cliff in Varkala, around 5 minute to the beach. Extremely close to all the restaurants/shops along the cliff but set back slightly so it is nice and quiet. Nice room with good fan, hot water and Wi-Fi. Nice little outdoor area outside the room with table and chairs which was shared with another room. Free water refills. Able to pay by card. The host was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.
