Comfortable and incredibly friendly owner! She let my daughters feed the baby lamb it’s bottle, play with her dogs and visit her ponies. She gave excellent recommendations and the rooms were pretty, comfortable, and clean. My family didn’t want to leave!

It’s been a long time since we stayed in a guesthouse. We were apprehensive to book an overnight stay with a shared bathroom. Since the accommodations in Vik were limited, we took a chance and opted for one night stay at Carina. We were pleasantly surprised how well things worked out. Our room was spacious with comfy bed and crisp white linens. The bathroom was across the hall from our room. There was ample time to shower and use the facilities with complete privacy. It’s my understanding that if you book your room directly with Carina, breakfast is included. Otherwise it will be extra. During the summer, breakfast is served 8-9:30 daily. We’re unable to comment on quality of breakfast, as we had an early morning tour and left before it was available.

Safe and serene farmhouse. Gorgeous location outside of Vik. Quiet and bright, with wonderful views of the Northern Lights. Very clean accommodations. There was a shared kitchen with coffee and cooking supplies. Kind and responsive host. We didn't try the breakfast buffet there, but it sounded wonderful.

This guest house is 12 mi from Vík and 0.9 mi off the Route 1 Ring Road. Wi-Fi and parking are free. All rooms have a view of Pétursey Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean.

The host was very warm and we were received readily. It has a very convenient location, right across from Lava Show and Soup company. The house is very nicely decorated. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the food is abundant for breakfast. We enjoyed our one-night stay there.

With the black sand beach just a walking distance away then it’s the place to stay if you’re looking for a place to stay around Vik. We had a room with shared bathrooms but it was the best shared bathroom I’ve ever seen. All the showers were located separately and had plenty of space, plus one had even view to the mountains. The kitchen area offered every appliance one might need to make breakfast, lunch or dinner. All in all, superb place and great value for money

The rooms were cozy and comfortable and nice and warm!! We were in the basement with the private bathrooms, but it didn’t feel like one because we had lovely windows. Everything was extremely clean and the breakfast was delicious! Location is awesome. Don’t hesitate to stay here.
