Everything was great. The host was so friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We also had secure parking for our motorcycle. Its about a 15 min walk to the old town, which is worth a visit.

Great location, just outside the historic center, and easy to get to by car. Fantastic, helpful owner. Our room was quiet even though it faced the street.

The albergo is in the center of the old town, and it's a really cute town at that. I chose Albenga haphazardly as it was only a couple hours train ride from Nice (France), and I was heading into Italy for a month. I could easily walk to the beach (admittedly it was a longer walk to the free beach, but I enjoy walking), and everything was very accessible from this location. Located up just one flight of stairs, it wasn't too difficult on the knees, and the owner was very friendly and helpful. I had a little window overlooking a narrow street--that was nice too. Everything else was in good order, and the bathroom was rather spacious. Breakfast is served at the neighboring bar and it's not fancy, but your typical Italian breakfast (drink and pastry, I always recommend the treccia, with pecans or walnuts, more interesting than a cornetto) and it does the job til lunch.
