Very nice place, very Japanese, the canteen is very nice and has a perfect view for the cute garden. Nice onsen experience, very polite and helpful staff, very nice owner of place gave us a ride to the park. Actually it’s a best place I stayed in Japan, even it’s a hostel 🤍🤗

Checking-in to Fuji-Hakone Guest House was a very smooth process! The owners of the guest house were very lovely and explained all the accommodations plus gave us great tips on what activities we could do in Hakone. The private indoor and outdoor onsen were incredible and very relaxing. I will definitely come back again to Fuji-Hakone Guest House the next time I visit Hakone.

I really enjoyed the hospitality and the way I was treated during my stay. The owner and the two elderly gentlemen helping to manage the property were incredibly kind and polite. They went above and beyond, offering me a ride to the bus station, even though it wasn’t part of the service. Despite the language barrier, communication was easy with the help of Google Translate, and they were always ready to assist with anything I needed. Oh, almost forgot! They also have a really cool art gallery shop on the property, plus a karaoke machine! If you’re into karaoke, you can definitely have a fun time with them in the evening. It’s such a unique and enjoyable touch to the whole experience 😊 I’m very grateful for their warmth and generosity. Thank you so much, I’ll definitely come back next time! 🤗

There is an amazing lounge/bar area where everyone hangs out, it's an amazing place to meet some new people and chat with the owners. The view is exceptional, the place is equipped with it's own onsen. The atmosphere is very homely. The food is exceptional! Affordable and very tasty. It's also located near two bus stops. In the lounge area, there is a third owner, Rum, the dog. She is an incredibly friendly and sweet cuddlebug and she will come up to you whenever you are eating. A smart dog! (Don't feed her though, the owners feed her enough 😀) Summing up, I had a lot of fun, met a lot of wonderful people (and one dog) and the stay was a wonderful experience in general.

Very friendly, well spoken in English, and helpful host. Simple check in and check out, with great proximity to beautiful hikes and Lake Ashi. Sweet bar located on property too. Very great value.
