The host was so friendly and helpful. she drove us in her car to the train station to pick up bus passes and made us an amazing breakfast! wonderful hospitality. I would definitely recommend staying here!

We love the place, the house is very new and taken care of. It was a short walking distance to JR Nikko Station. Mrs. Arai was kind to prepare for us a very nice breakfast with full of fruit and veggies. Thank you for the stay!

Elizabeth and Satoshi are absolutely perfect hosts - thanks for having us! The rooms are traditional style, clean, contain everything you need. The outdoors onsen, looking over the forest and mountains around was a dream come true. Our only regret was that we didn't opt in for dinner - would have been a treat :)

We had so much fun at the Midorian! It was a great location, since it was near all the sites we wanted to visit. We really enjoyed the property with the large garden area and the river behind it. But the best part was the amazing host, Arai san! Our daughters (ages 4 and 8) would have been happy to stay at the house the entire trip, since Arai san made it so much fun. At their invitation, he accompanied us to the river several times and even brought a net to help them look for creatures in the water. He also taught them how to catch dragonflies, a skill they have now mastered. :) The girls loved the bunk beds, and I loved the bath, which was always prepared in advance with the perfect temperature of water.

Everything was excellent about this place. Rooms are adorable and staffs were so nice and kind. Thank you for everything.

About a 20-minute walk from the Nikko shrines, Annex Turtle Hotori-An is located next to the Daiya river and green forests. It features hot spring baths with river views.
