Very clean and spacious enough for 1 night during the Shimanami Kaido. Host was very friendly and also let us leave our bags while we enjoyed the town. Would stay again.

We stayed 2 nights at the property, and would highly recommend it. Yuji and Yunko were very hospitable. They picked us up at the ferry and at the bus stop after the bike trip. They helped us with the bike rentals. We even shared a beer in the evening with them and their daughter Nao. They spared no effort to make us feel welcome. The room is actually the 2F of a small house on Mukaishima island. This means you get a lot more space than most hotels. Everything is clean, and the beds (twin beds) are fairly comfortable. The neighbourhood is quiet. A convenience store and 24/7 supermarket is close to the Inn, although we didnt go there. Island Country Inn is easy to reach from the Onomichi train station (not the shinkansen one), the ferry to Mukaishima is short and frequent, and as mentioned they provide a transfer from the terminal to the Inn. We found it an ideal location to do the bike day trip over all the islands/bridges, and we would certainly stay there again.

excellent staff drove out of their way to let us check in early. They came back again later in the day to makw sure our surroundings were safe because a storm was coming and they also made personal calls to friends to get information for us for a local festival. Very friendly and helpful people! The layout of the building was great with, waterfront, new and clean. An outdoor table to enjoy sea views and the view from the 2nd floor bedroom was gorgeous.

Very spacious and comfortable accommodation. The location is central to Onomichi and close to the shotengai with lots of shopping and restaurants.

Koji is the most generous owner and genunely welcome to help. He picked us up from the port and even picked us up from another port in the night time (we survived from the most adventurous journey - thankful to Koji!). Talk about the place: the guesthouse is cozy and warm. The shared facilities included kitchen and washing machine. The price of ramen and washing pods are the same price in the convenience store and may be cheaper. E-bikes are also provided with the cheap rate (1000 yen/day).
