Ruwan and his family and employees are fantastic hosts. They could not do enough for us and went out of their way in all respects. Ruwan organised tours to all the key sites in the Cultural Triangle ( Dambulla Cave temple, Polunnuwara, Ritigala, Sigiriya , Pidurangala and the Elephant Eco Park. He reaffirmed our decision to use Habarana as a base for 5 nights rather than move from place to place. He also arranged for a village tour/Spice Garden at no cost and drove us to and from Habarana Cultural Show which was fantastic. He provided Tuk tuk taxis as required by Antani, including transfer to Kandy. The Visu Villas are located just off the main road and we were able to walk in to Habarana for restaurants, supermarket and bank. We also ate at the onsite restaurant...some of the best authentic Sri Lankan food. For the incredible price we weren't expecting too much from the breakfast which was included. This turned out to be not the case. The food was vegetarian (requested) homemade, varied, delcious and amazing value for money. It was made at a time of your request or provided as a takeaway if required. The room was comfortable and clean. The air con and ceiling fan worked really well. The place had a swimming pool that other guests seemed to enjoy and two lovely tree houses for dining as well as more accessible areas. Ruwan even gave us a framed photo momento of our fantastic stay with his family. We would not hesitate to stay again.

The owner and his family, the food, the services, the garden and the cleanliness. Even though the property is a bit away from the main road, we were always provided with transportation as and when required at a very good price. They also helped arrange the village tour and Minneria Safari at a competitive price. Always willing to sort out things for you, you just have to mention something and they would be able to arrange it for you.

We stayed in this beautiful house for 3 days. Mr Asanka is a very thoughtful host. He arranged our pick up from the train station and welcomed us with wet cold towel and welcome drinks. The house was very clean and had a beautiful garden. There is a small river passing by, I read my book by the river, so relaxing! We had the breakfast near this river. The breakfast was excellent with a combination of Sri Lankan and continental breakfast. Lots of fresh fruit…the best breakfast I had in Sri Lanka. One feature of this place is that you can use the kitchen. The room was very nice with a new AC and kettle. Hot water was always available. The room had a beautiful balcony. One note about Habarana: Minneriya national park is here and it is absolutely beautiful. We liked it much more than Yala as we were able to see more than 100 elephants in 2 hours.
