Beautifully restored villa with three lovely guest rooms. The owner has used his artistic skills to make this one of the most enchanting boutique property anywhere. The breakfasts were delicious and the location is a short tuk tuk ride to the lake, downtown and nearby restaurants. Even comes with a small pool to cool off in on those hot days. Highly recommended!

Seldom in all of my travels have I encountered a place so welcoming, comfortable, peaceful, with kind hosts and great meals at such a super affordable price. Staying here is a sheer delight, in a quiet neighborhood next to the Mahaweli River in an architectural home on four levels, with lots of space to be as solitary or as social as you care to be. And the home-cooked meals (breakfast was provided as part of the room rate) were simply exceptional, with generous portions and great desserts. Just an outstanding experience!

Jaye was so welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure I had a great stay! It's about a 10-minute way from the center but definitely worth getting away from the chaos. Good hot water pressure and excellent AC, I can't recommend it highly enough!

Beautiful, clean, spacious room with views of the surrounding jungle. Hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. Great breakfast and conversation with the host family. Location is a bit far from town but an easy tuk tuk and not too bad of a walk- was nice to experience the tranquility being outside of town! Would stay again!
