Beautiful property in a good location. It’s is so well decorated and exactly what I expected! The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Parking is about an 8 minute walk, but you can get the young boys to help with luggage for a fair price - and they know the shortcuts! Breakfast with a view on the terrace was delicious!

We spent two nights at Iguana Azul and were very happy with our stay. The riad is perfectly located—right in the medina, yet tucked away on a quiet and beautiful street just off the main road. Upon arrival, the receptionist, Walid, kindly offered us a choice between two rooms. The rooms were spotless, clearly newly renovated, with a comfortable bed and plenty of space. The rooftop terrace was a lovely place to relax, and the breakfast was generous and delicious. Amal at the reception was incredibly helpful in finding us the best way to travel from Chefchaouen to Rabat (note: when we were there, only one bus per day ran at 7 AM, but an alternative is taking a grand taxi to Tangier and then the TGV, which took us just 3.5 hours). We would have happily stayed longer—this is a truly comfortable, laid-back place, perfect for enjoying a coffee on the terrace with stunning views of the city. Thank you to the wonderful team—we highly recommend staying here!

I recently stayed at Riad Chengli in April and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. Their helpfulness made a significant difference, providing great recommendations for local attractions and dining. The room was clean, spacious, well-appointed, equipped and offering all the comforts I needed. The bed also was lined with electric blanket to make sure my comfort during the cold night. The riad’s location was perfect, many local restaurants nearby and not far from the main road for transportations, making it easy to explore nearby sights. I also enjoyed the delicious breakfast in the morning, which was a great way to start the day. The staff, alongside the owner, made sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend this riad for anyone looking for a friendly and accommodating place to stay.

We came by taxi and it was convenient to walk down. Better ask the manager to meet you as it’s still not an easy to find first time. After that everything is easy going and nothing is to much for Rafik and Mohammed to make your stay perfect! The house and the rooms are beautifully decorated! The terras is a highlight where you can eat breakfast or just chill with the great view down the old town. Rafik and Mohammed are excellent hosts. They helped us with everything and we especially appreciate their help to take our luggage back to taxi spot next day. I wish we booked two nights. It’s a great place to enjoy the blue city.
