The location was great! 10 minute walk to Swayambhunath. It was quiet at night. The host was a wonderful gentleman. I had spent 3 months in Nepal and my last two nights were at this spot. If I’m lucky enough to be able to visit Kathmandu again I’ll certainly stay here.

The location is perfect—right near Thamel and Basantapur, making it easy to explore the city's vibrant nightlife. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the room was clean and incredibly comfortable. I had an amazing time and will definitely be returning to Zen Nest on my next visit!

My stay in this beautiful guesthouse was incredible! Lovely spacious room with huge windows overlooking the Kathmandu valley and surrounding hills. There’s also an easy access to the rooftop with the stunning sunrise/sunset views🥰. In good weather you could see the snowy mountains tops from out there! Clean restroom with hot water. Nice well equipped kitchen, fridge. All the dishes, cups, silverware and pots are present. Little well kept garden was full of flowers in spring! Property is generally very well maintained and looked after with the great love and attention to the details. Neighborhood is quiet and safe. A short taxi ride to Thamel and 7 min walk to the main entrance to Swayambhu (monkey temple). The owners of the guesthouse Valeria and Alex are extremely friendly and helpful! I’m very grateful for this fabulous stay!
