We had the pleasure of spending 3 days in Slănic Prahova at Pensiunea Deceneu in mid-May.   I booked our stay on Booking.com, and I was a bit hesitant because I've read a few negative reviews on Google, but after also reading the positive reviews, I've decided to give it a chance.   Most of the negative reviews complained about poor lodging conditions and food, and even about the bad attitude of the owner.  But, after my stay there, I can only say that I have found ABSOLUTELY no valid reasons for such complaints.  For those looking for the utmost luxury accommodations and MICHELIN Star food presentations, this is NOT the place for you! HOWEVER, if you are looking for a place with reasonable rates, that offers a beautifully designed rustic environment, with clean rooms, excellent tasty food, and a warm welcoming by the friendly owners, then Pensiunea Deceneu is an excellent choice!!! The location is very conveniently close to all the local attractions (the salt mine, salt lakes/baths, etc). The closed-in private yard is perfect for families with children, and I've noticed they even allow pets

We really enjoyed our stay here! The room was spacious and clean, and the large salt lamp created a relaxing atmosphere—perfect before visiting the nearby Slănic Salt Mine. The terrace was big and offered a wonderful view, ideal for unwinding. There’s also a pool on-site, which is a nice bonus. The restaurant doesn’t have a huge variety of options, but the food was tasty, and the staff was very kind. Breakfast was included and exceeded expectations—big, fresh, and delicious. Parking is available in the inner yard, and the location is excellent for anyone planning a trip to the salt mine. A great choice if you want comfort, views, and easy access to Slănic!

We had 2 rooms, one for our elderly parents, the other for a family of four, both on the 1st floor. The view from the balcony was lovely overlooking the valley,very quiet. The family room had a sofa bed. The veranda has a nice fish pond, pleasant place to sit together outdoors. The food at breakfast and the restaurant were very good

The host was very kind and hospitable from the get-go, even before we got there she offered to wait for us with dinner. Once there, we loved the crispy cleanliness of the bed sheets and towels, the warm carpet, the nice accents in the room, everything nicely put together. The view was beautiful and the general atmosphere was generally calm and relaxing.

The place is surrounded by nature and away from any main streets, meaning you have a quiet time during the day and night without any noise, which is a great plus to me. The views are amazing too and a lot of facilities you can use that you need. The owners were very polite and helpful with anything we needed. I've had a great experience.
