The welcome I received from Vladimir, Andrea, Coco the dog and the cats was incredible. With my limited Spanish I was taken care of with food, drinks, love, connection to kite gear rental and a bus picking me up towards Santa Marta. Enjoy and be aware of the “Tavlacho’s”! with gratitude and love.

Stayed at the hostel over Carnaval and we formed a great crew with the other travellers, to go to the parades and parties together. Good vibes. Felipe, the owner of the hostel, is a great person to talk to and has good recommendations. The hotel is basic but functional with all you need: kitchen, laundry service, lockers, outdoor and indoor area to socialise etc..

First of all - I will give this place a ten although it’s far away from it, but… The place is located in the sketchy neighborhood and we weren’t really feeling safe to leave the place at night. Rooms look like they are advertised and are clean. The absolute highlight of the place is the lady who owns it - she is a soul! She was very helpful, kind and gave us all the information she needed. She also made us feel like home. Since we visited city for the carnival she allowed us to store the baggage there after check out too. Overall, I wouldn’t pay the amount of money for this accommodation under any other circumstances but these including the festival and increase of prices in that area in general. Like I said - you would be feeling more than welcome and safe inside of the property, but not outside of it. Thanks again to the lovely lady, she made our stay there worth of it!

Set in Barranquilla, 5 km from Continental Shopping Mall, House Concepción hostel has a bar, a shared lounge and a garden. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. The staff and the owners were amazing and helped us out a lot. They always made sure everything was alright. The location was perfect when going to the carnival. A supermarket and ATM is just close by. Other than that we did not visit the city at all.

Great location for me in the good part of the city don't expect frills but get good value for money I would stay here again
