We had the corner balcony room with a view of the Leh monastery. Try their delicious home cooked food made from what they grow. Highly recommend.

The building was attractive and warm, with exceptional customer care. We were treated very well by Pema the owner and his staff. The room was very clean and the food was good. Will return to the hotel again.

Wang, Dolma aunty and Samir made us feel so loved and taken care of! We landed early in the morning, but they had some amazing chai and our room ready for us within minutes. Every morning, my partner and I were so excited to wake up, just to be able to taste dolma aunty's home made bread. Samir makes excellent omlettes! Wang took care of all of our travel needs. He helped us get our permits, dropped us to Rumbak village for a hike, helped several others in the house book their kardungla road trips and also dropped us off to the airport for our departure from Leh. When we had an unfortunate accident at the hike, Wang prepared himself to come rescue us, which goes to show how above and beyond they go. We loved their house so much so that we extended our stay at the house by another couple days. They also have multiple sweet kitties on the property, who love to lounge in the sun and never bothered us. We also really enjoyed the our room and the location of the property. There's a lot of restuarants, supermarket within 5 minutes walking distance. The leh market is 15 minutes away with a lot of shopping stores along the way. Perfect home stay, can't wait to go back here with my parents soon.

I have travelled all over the world, visited many many cities and stayed in all kinds of hotels. Generally I don't write reviews for hotels as I find them mostly fine, though nothing extraordinary to write about. However, I feel compelled to write a review for Rock Castle Residency of Leh due to the exceptional hospitality of the hosts. The room we got was fine - spacious, clean, and with a large comfortable bed. The balcony of the room had a superb view of the neighbouring hill and of the mountains further away. The guest house had a cute dining hall where the chef's dishes are very much like home cooked food - simple, fresh, tasty. But what delighted us most about the place were the gracious, warmhearted and helpful hosts. Family run and managed by individuals including Rigzin, Nordom and Prince, we felt absolutely at home during our stay. In fact, we had issues with acclimatizing for 3 days, and I had to take oxygen support during the nights. Rigzin and team helped us with everything, and without any hesitation accomodated our requests for extending our stay in Leh and then also cancelling the remaining stay without penalties when we decided to bail out and return to Delhi. They fed us delicious meals made from vegetables grown in their own garden, and even brought tea and meals to our room (against their house policy) when I was not feeling well. We weren't able to explore Ladakh fully this time, but if I ever come back to Leh I would most definitely stay at Rock Castle Residency only.

Best service from the staff and the owner was so Friendly and guided us the best route for our trip , food was just like home in affordable price and very helpful in every aspect, we had to stay another night in leh because we got late for our route , and they managed everything in just one call and we checked in 2.00 am in night and they still didn't charged us extra for that , and managed our dinner in that late night , also they have such a beautiful rooms with best mountain views , i would recommend everyone if you are going to leh and looking for a stay , must visit here once , you will feel like your own home .

In addition to the lovely clean comfortable room they serve me fruits mostly from their beautiful garden which I very much appreciate. Lovely stay with lovely people, what else could you ask for.
