His warmth, friendliness and generosity as well as his local information and recommendations outshone any guide book or Google search. The entire place was spotlessly clean and cosy. Although the rooms were small, the bunks were comfortable with nice linen and cosy duvets and there was room for luggage. The common area was well stocked with everything needed to make a meal or tea and coffee. The location in the historical Higashi Chaya district was ideal. Easy to get to by bus from Kanazawa Station. Walking distance to a supermarket, Kenrokuen Gardens, museums, restaurants. Very quiet within Stella as well as where it is located.

The warmth and hospitality they offered made my stay unforgettable. I honestly can’t recommend this hostel enough—it’s hands down the best I’ve ever stayed at.

Beautiful house in a lovely location. Everything about the house was excellent and the host even left us a loaf of fresh bread!. We were well impressed with all the facilities.

the property was clean and comfortable. The bunk beds room was not exactly charming unfortunately, and the beds did not have individual lights or plugs. I think this might be rented as an entire home moving forward, I was the first guest. Still it would be good to have lights in the bedroom, and more plugs! Especially near the bed.

Very nice accommodation in a quiet neighbourhood but walking distance to all you want to see in Kanazawa. Very much appreciated the pick up from the station by the host at arrival.
Great location. It's easy to walk to Kanazawa's main attractions. Very professional and attentive service. Everything was new and clean. The breakfast buffet is impressive, but there are cheaper breakfast options nearby.

Beautiful and quaint traditional style guesthouse. come here for a proper traditional Japanese stay experience. The host was lovely and they have created a traditional feel with modern renovations and comforts like air conditioning and bathroom facilities. Out of the busier downtown area but walkable (20-30 mins) or by bus.
As other people have mentioned, Shaq is a wonderful host and will entertain you especially when there isn't too many people at the guesthouse. The izakaya that he runs downstairs is great: good & cheap food/drinks. The rooms have a very japanese vibe (they have tatamis), they have lockers and are not too big (8 beds in my dorm).
Amazing Guest House in japanese style. It was cozy, perfectly clean and quiet accommodation. We loved everything there. Speaking about the host, she was so kind. What we also appreciated was we could leave our luggage there before check in. Thank you very much for all.
Cleaner and more professional than other guesthouses I stayed at. I liked that the guesthouse had a large sign out front with English script. That made it easy for me to find. I don't understand why other guesthouses don't do that. The room was warm, the bed was nice. The location was quiet, but directly between the train station and points of interest. The host and guests were very friendly. It was a joy to be around.
