The members of this family are the nicest, not only did they pick me up at the trainsation on arrive l, but on the day of departure, they drove me all the way to Kochi and not to the closest trainstation 😯. I had a single room with shared bath. The room was basic, but very comfortable and clean. I would stay here again . It is easy to get to from the train station. Goggle makes it harder than it really is.

We were travelling around on motorbikes and found this fantastic guesthouse, which was very clean, with spacious rooms and all amenities required within striking distance to Mt Aso. The owner was very helpful, even helping us book ferry tickets to Shikoku, and the attached Izakya had great food and atmosphere.

This was a great place to stay in a beautiful and peaceful location! The staff was very acommodating and the rooms were very comfortable! Very unique mountain top location in traditional Japanese home, but made very comfortable with everything needed for a cozy and relaxing stay. Would highly recommend if looking for an experience off the beaten path. We especially enjoyed warming up in the fire pit, while BBQing a delicious meal and enjoying the relaxing and awesome views from the mountains.

Host is friendly and helpful,and he gifted me a cup noodle after marathon while all around is close. Train station and parking is just across the street. House is old Japanese style but clean.Bed comfortable.

We rented a car at Kochi Ryoma Airport. The guesthouse was conveniently located near the airport and the freeway, making it easy to access our destination, Dogo Onsen. Initially, I was concerned about parking, but the guesthouse was on a wide road, which is important to know when renting a car in Japan. It was simple to maneuver in and out of the parking spaces located behind the house. The guesthouse was in the town of Noichi, where we enjoyed delicious meals at nearby restaurants. Additionally, its central location between my two other destinations, Kochi-shi and Aki-shi, meant that I didn't have to drive a lot in one day. Our host, Kyoko-san, was incredibly friendly and kind. Since it was the off-season, she gave the three of us two rooms, which allowed for a comfortable stay. I slept well during our time there. Unfortunately, I lost a hubcap from the rental car—it's a long story. On our departure morning, Kyoko-san went out of her way to prepare breakfast for my son and me. After saying our goodbyes, Kyoko-san called to inform us that my son had left his passport and charger behind. She kindly brought them all the way to the airport for us. Overall, I felt that the guesthouse was truly a home away from home.

Takao and Shie were two of the sweetest humans we have ever met. They provided an amazing experience. The views, the opportunities for outings in their beautiful village, their warm welcome and thorough explanation of the home's features made this stay incredibly memorable for our family. If we are lucky enough to return to this beautiful area, we will ABSOLUTELY be staying at Guest House En again.

Beautiful hostel, very comfortable and well located. At the reception there was a volunteer who was very helpful and friendly. The hostel overall has a warm atmosphere, really recommended!
