Owner was so kind, offering to give me a ride to my next destination, stopping by at the lookout to enjoy the view of Yufuin and the mountain.

Very convenient location to explore the Kunisaki peninsula by car. The owner is super friendly and helpful. This accommodation has everything you might need. There were all the cooking utensils(rice cooker, several pans, fridge, Japanese cups and plates etc). The room was spacious and spotless clean. Kunisaki peninsula has so many beautiful pilgrimage trails, I would recommend this place for anyone who is interested to explore Kunisaki peninsula. Also only 30min by car to the famous Beppu area. Will definitely come back!

He greeted us at Yufuin JR Station and kindly offered us a ride to the accommodation, setting the tone for a truly personal experience. Our family room was cozy and well-equipped, providing everything we needed. One of the highlights was the onsen, which can be reserved for private use, making it a relaxing and enjoyable retreat. Another big plus was that Jin-san offered to drop us off at the starting point for our early-morning Mount Yufu trek. This thoughtful gesture saved us from the hassle of arranging transport and let us start our day off on the right foot. The scenery around the guest house is breathtaking, adding to the peaceful atmosphere. And of course, we can’t forget Momo-chan, the charming resident cat, who added an extra touch of warmth to our stay. For anyone seeking a homey, relaxing experience with incredible hospitality in Yufuin, this guest house is a perfect choice.

The staff were very warm and welcoming. I had a wonderful breakfast there with a view of the lake. The property also has a very nice relaxing onsen with indoor/outdoor options

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The hotel was also really nice and we loved the hot springs. Both the public and family baths were super nice. I highly recommend staying here.

Such a lovely little apartment, Japanese-style, with all the necessary amenities! The AC was the cherry on top — we arrived on a very cold day (0°C!) and it heated the room up in no time. The futons were super comfy and warm too. There's no shower in the apartment, but it's very close to lots of onsens, so you'll definitely get to shower and relax there. 😊
