When we arrived (which was late due to traffic) we were greeted by the enthusiasm of the host, he helped us with parking and was very excited to show us the place. We felt very welcome. There are private bathrooms which you can book to bath with your friends/family, one of the best thing about this little gem in Atami:) I was surprised by the cleanliness and the comfort level here. it’s a newly refurbished building, it has three floors with a spacious living room/common room on the second floor which is shared by all the customers here. The room comes with a standard toilet and a shower and quite spacious overall. The tatami bed is comfy. Other reviews complained about the location, but because we drive we think it is an amazing spot! It’s 3 min drive from the famous shrine, and 5 minute to the ginza where there is lots of restaurants and shops. You can also see the fireworks display in the living room if you come on the right times:) We didn’t get the youthful and energetic host’s name, but thank you so much we had a great time staying!!

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. The guest house is well located at Takayama. Temperature inside was perfect for winter. Facilites are perfect and the manager explained everything at my arrival.

The house and hospitality are great! Perfectly located and it was recently renovated so everything is top notch! Loved the fluffy duvets and the cleanliness! Attentiveness to details such as games, complimentary snacks, and drinks (free and chargeable - both appreciated!). The weather was great so we had a bbq - fabulous as well! We were also lucky enough to be picked up from the station - things that made our journey infinitely easier! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay and we would stay again in a heartbeat ✨

A very kind and hospitable host who left us many thoughtful gifts — coffee, candies, and even ice cream in the fridge! The room was cozy and comfortable, and we especially loved the couches. The bath was a real treat after a long day of walking. We only stayed one night, but we wish we could have stayed longer — it’s such a lovely place!

Such a lovely stay with the best okonomiyaki just down the road! Hospitality was amazing and even gave us some manju that they make in their shop to try!! Delicious! Perfect stay in a great location for the kumano kodo trail. Would definitely stay again!
