Fantastic location in the Knuckles. We stayed here for 2 nights. The house is very special with many cosy seating areas and of course the stunning views outside from the rocking chairs on the terrace. The work they do for the community and their mission and vision is admirable. Nanda is a very nice host to talk to and helps you with everything like providing rain gear and leech socks for our hike .He taught us the Sri Lankan game Carrom and even played this with our kids. The food is fantastic, so many different dishes to taste from, and we loved the afternoon tea with home made cakes. Thanks a lot Nanda and team!

The location has a history, and the property was only modified as a guest house while keeping the old design. It is unique because of that. The area around the property is very quiet and very green, with many different types of trees/spices. The staff was very friendly, especially the manager (Christo). He contacted us before we arrived to make sure everything was arranged. The food was delicious, and the price was reasonable.

Sarath and his wife Deepthi are the most delightful hosts. We had a wonderful time staying in their beautiful home in the jungle. We had a steam massage (highly recommended) and Sarath took us for walks around his spice plantation. It’s a beautiful place to unwind and chill, and you are looked after so well. Deepthi’s cooking is amazing. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Perfect stay. Very attentive and nice staff. Breakfast and dinner were great and tasty. The morning walk was so enjoyable. The reading room had even a nice puzzle which we made. Nice swimming pool. We wished we could stay longer. The dogs are friendly too. Thank you very much! 😊

What a beautiful quest house. It is set away from the busy main road and very peaceful. There is a restaurant, which we did not use, so I can't comment, but there was no noise, apart from some soft music,which was quite nice and chilled. The room was very clean, with clean bedding and towels. Staff were very helpful and Friendly. Loved this Lodge. I could have stayed longer just to enjoy the peacefulness. As we are travelling by bicycle, our bikes were very secure for the night.

Absolutely perfect! My family of four recently stayed at Cottage 2010. The cottage was spotless upon arrival, and the cleanliness was impressive throughout. The ambience felt cozy and inviting, like a true home away from home, with thoughtful decor that enhanced the warmth of the space. The service was exceptional; the staff was attentive and made us feel welcome, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. From the beautiful surroundings to the excellent upkeep, every detail was carefully attended to. Highly recommended for a peaceful family getaway

There’s a rare quality to this place—an effortless elegance and warmth that welcomes you the moment you arrive. The landscape is breathtaking, with rolling hills, and quiet, expansive views. Every detail of the experience feels considered, from the beautifully curated interiors to the gentle rhythm of each day. The food was exceptional, and prepared and served with genuine hospitality. Ashburnham offers not just a break from the everyday, but a complete shift in pace. The whole fteam is gracious and attentive without ever being intrusive, and their warmth and professionalism enhanced the sense of calm and care. I travel a lot, and I don’t believe there’s anywhere quite like it, thank you Vish, Daniel and the team! We will return again I’m sure!
