The rooms are sparkling clean, with a nice view from the balcony, furnished elegantly and of high quality, offering a cosy blend of traditional elements which engulfs that warm atmosphere sought after by many. As a bonus, the rooms are well-soundproofed. The room's minibar fridge is well stocked and the freebie shots (downstairs) of locally sourced brandies and other beverages are all you could ask for after a long trip. Andreea and Mihai are truly wonderful people — warm, kind, and always attentive to our needs. The views are breathtaking, and the atmosphere is peaceful, making it the perfect place to relax and recharge. We appreciated how they constantly checked in to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We are already looking forward to our next stay next year — we can’t wait to return to this little slice of heaven in Maramureș!

The units are equipped with heating facilities. Such friendly people. They don't speak much English, but we were able to figure it out using hands, feet and Google Translate. The rooms are absolutely amazing, the hotel seems brand new, the food is great (both breakfast as dinner). Location wise a bit further away from some of the 'amenities' of Breb but close to the hiking routes.

Our hosts were so welcoming and friendly from the first moment we arrived. We arrive by car and had a place to park. They met us in the driveway with a welcome drink of the honrnica brandy that they brew. The last part of the road to their house is gravel, but fine for our little car. The room was very clean, and had beautiful, traditional decorations on the walls. We had a small balcony with a pleasant view. I liked that the bedroom had bedside lights for reading at night, and better ambiance. I also appreciated the extra pillows. (thank you). They had some sweet family wedding pictures in the hall way that I enjoyed looking at. Everything was homey and sweet. We chose to have breakfast and dinner for several of the days we were there, and be prepared.... it is a lot of food. Each day, Iliana (I hope I spelled it right) made a wide array of foods. For breakfast, there were eggs, variety of meats, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, two kinds of cheeses, bread, butter, jams, tea, coffee, fresh milk....My husband especially, loved the honey which was fresh and local. Dinner was huge as well, starting with amazing soup, bread, and then came the second course, and then dessert. It was evident that everything was prepared with love. We very much enjoyed our stay with this family. We loved meeting them all. Though our hosts did not speak english, their son in law, who manages the booking, does. We got along just fine, either with the help of the son-in-law, or using google translate. It was nice to meet him and his wife as well! The grandmother was also very kind, and showed us around the property. Their hospitality and warmth were the highlight of our month long trip to Romania. The village of Breb is a very special place.
